Being successful in business is not sufficient if we don’t generate positive impact by helping others: this is a key pillar of Mediolanum culture, which also inspired Banca Mediolanum Group foundation. Together with our local business partners and thanks to the extraordinary support of Fondazione Mediolanum, Mediolanum Irish Operations are proud for the success of the Philanthropy Collective to develop new Coolmine Westbourne House in Limerick, which is going to be the first women and children’s residential treatment centre outside Dublin.
The launch event was hosted at Lucan House, the residence of the Italian Ambassador to Ireland, at the presence of Sara Doris, Chairperson of Fondazione Mediolanum and Deputy Chairperson of Banca Mediolanum and An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD who flagged that “substance abuse can affect anyone, from any background, and they should be given a helping hand to recover. Coolmine has been a pioneer of this way of thinking from their beginnings and with this new partnership there is no doubting the success of the service into the future”.
