Our fourth annual Mediolanum Media Event took place at The Marker Hotel in Dublin on Wednesday, bringing together 30 journalists alongside policymakers, academics, and industry leaders.
The theme—financial literacy and navigating uncertainty—sparked insightful discussions. Highlights included:
· Robert Troy, Minister of State for Finance, on Ireland’s financial services strategy and EU initiatives.
· Gianni Nicolini, University of Rome Tor Vergata, on improving financial education and transparency.
· Simon Coveney, former Tánaiste, on geopolitical risk and strategic decision-making.
· Morningstar analysts on active fixed income trends and performance.
· Giorgio Carlino, Head of Multi-Management, showcasing a decade of consistent alpha generation.
CEO Furio Pietribiasi closed the event by reaffirming our commitment to financial literacy and professional advice, warning against oversimplification and misinformation. He also cautioned against oversimplification and misinformation, especially via social media, and called for a renewed industry focus on helping people make informed financial decisions.
