Ireland has been home to Mediolanum International Funds for more than 27 years, and the communities around us have always been part of how we measure success. Three years ago, our business partners turned that commitment into something concrete — the Mediolanum Philanthropic Collective.
Last November, 84 partners brought the total raised in 2025 to more than €1 million, taking the Collective's three-year total to €2 million. That funding is now at work across three Dublin communities, and the first half of 2026 has produced real, measurable progress at each of our partner organisations.
Belvedere Youth Club — a strong start to the year
In Dublin's north-east inner city, 30 young people are now in targeted support at Belvedere Youth Club, with 12 receiving one-to-one mentoring. The work builds on a strong 2025, in which 81% of participants made gains in attendance, behaviour or attainment.
Coolmine Therapeutic Community — the Mid-West expansion takes shape
Coolmine opened a fourth recovery house in Castletroy in April 2026, bringing the Mid-West total to 16 beds for women and their children. An onsite crèche means mothers and children can stay together throughout treatment — a small detail with a significant impact on recovery outcomes.
Liberties Community Project & Sporting Liberties — pitch delivery on track
On 25 May 2026, planning permission was submitted to Dublin City Council for the South-West Inner City's first public playing pitch. Delivered in partnership with Sporting Liberties, the facility is on track to open in mid-to-late autumn.
A partnership, not charity
These headlines are only part of the story. Behind each project are people, partnerships and next steps that stretch well beyond a single year. The Collective was never designed as charity — it is a long-term investment by our partners in people, inclusion and opportunity in the communities we call home.
Three years. €2 million. Three charities. One Collective.
